PROLOGUE. AN OOC BLURB.
The video game WolfQuest was a strange inspiration for roleplaying. Around 2012 (I was 13 then), I was playing the game, and it was when I joined a Multiplayer server that I figured out what roleplaying even was. It seemed...pretty cool. Like writing a story, but with other people. Eventually I used the WQ forum's handy dandy Pack Central board to create my own pack: Creek Pack, the Pack of Heroes. The cringe. I managed to get around eight members before it died. Throughout my time of roleplaying, I still used my OC, Max. When I was a young lil' bean he was probably the most overpowered monster you could think of - walking through fire, shapeshifting, angsty emotions, all that jazz. As I started to realize I was looking like a dang moron with him, I just sort of stopped roleplaying with him. A couple years tick by, and I'm way better at writing and creating characters. Now they don't seem like walking piles of dung. Maybe. I dunno.
One night I had the idea to bring back the ever so legendary Creek Pack, but without the mountain of cringe that came with it. That's how Flumen Vitae was born. I spent quite some time fixing the site up, but then I lost interest and just...let it disappear. It never left my mind; I always had ideas for improvement but never really put them into place. That's starting to change...drastically.
And here we are now. Pretty cool, eh? Well...I just hope you enjoy FV as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you for stumbling across this little corner of the Internet.

CHAPTER ONE. THE WAR.
Before a mighty empire reigned supreme, the Creek Pack fought against natural disasters. They lived in a hotspot for predators and cunning rogue wolves intent on stealing food and land. Their leader, Maximilian, had built a solid foundation for his pack. Alas, they couldn't remain strong forever. Their numbers began to dwindle until there were but three members. In the blink of an eye, the alpha was the only wolf still in the pack. Subdued by young and opportunistic wolves, Max handed over the territory he fought so hard to gain and retired to a nomadic lifestyle once again.
The Creek Pack's former territory, Saddle Meadows, was fought for by multiple packs for many moons - there was no set group in charge. On the other side of the creek, another pack was rising - a coalition of three packs forming to become one: the Ketsumei. Three large packs combined to create a massive territory, and a new leader was elected:. Their territory continued to expand, taking numerous smaller packs under their control. The territory was divided into four sectors, one for each Ketsumei baron to rule. The Ketsumei's conquest wouldn't go unchallenged by an old power in Slough Creek.
The packs at Saddle Meadows eventually disappeared, with only one pack remaining: the Valiant Creek Pack. Once again, Maximilian rules over a pack, but this time not for power. His desire is to battle the Ketsumei and restore order to the creek. This war continues to this very day.
